Terms of Service

1. The service

Esper Forge is an independent online platform for building, organising, discovering and playtesting Magic: The Gathering decks. Features may include accounts, public profiles, deck sharing, card collections, rules research, community interactions, AI-assisted tools and printable proxy sheets.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit, keeping your login details private and all activity performed through your account. Do not impersonate another person, create accounts to evade a restriction or allow unauthorised access. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Community content

You keep ownership of original content you submit. You give Esper Forge a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format and display that content as necessary to operate the service and show content you have made public. You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit it and that it does not unlawfully violate another person's rights.

Do not upload or publish unlawful, abusive, hateful, discriminatory, sexually exploitative, threatening, deceptive or malicious material. Do not use Esper Forge to harass, spam, scrape, probe, overload or interfere with the service, accounts or infrastructure.

4. Decks, card images and proxies

Magic: The Gathering names, artwork, symbols and related intellectual property belong to their respective owners. Esper Forge is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast. Card information and images are supplied by Scryfall and may be incomplete, changed or unavailable.

Proxy sheets are provided for personal playtesting and other lawful uses. You are responsible for following applicable copyright, trademark, tournament and local rules. Do not present printed proxies as official cards or use them to deceive others.

5. Forgecoins and paid features

Some actions consume Forgecoins and some Forgecoins may be purchased through Stripe. Prices, balances and available packages are shown before checkout. Forgecoins have no cash value, are not transferable and may not be resold. Purchases and refunds are subject to applicable consumer law, the checkout information shown at purchase and the policies of the payment provider. We may correct obvious pricing or accounting errors and may change packages prospectively.

6. Third-party services

Esper Forge may link to or rely on third-party services such as Scryfall, Stripe, Resend, hosting providers and AI providers. Those services have separate terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability or practices.

7. Availability and liability

We work to keep Esper Forge useful and available, but the service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Features may change, be interrupted or be removed. To the extent permitted by law, Esper Forge is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, lost profits or reliance on card, deck, rules or price information. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for intent or mandatory consumer protections.

8. Moderation and termination

We may remove content, restrict features or suspend or close accounts when necessary to protect users, enforce these terms, comply with law or keep the service secure. You may stop using the service or request account deletion at any time. Provisions that should continue after termination, including ownership, disclaimers and accrued payment obligations, remain effective.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as Esper Forge develops. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Austrian law applies, subject to mandatory consumer protections and the jurisdiction rules that apply to you.
